Final Fantasy X HD not just a simple collection| PS3| Whole remake?

Square Enix confirms that the Final Fantasy X HD wont just be any HD collection like the ones you saw before on PS3 as the 1st production department team of the company will be handling the game themselvs and wont let a 3rd party devs do it for them like their other remakes.

This may be a whole new Remake for the game taking advantage of the Ps3's power, rumores mention it will look as good as Final Fantasy XIII

Nothing as of yet, we'll see more in the upcoming months but there are news for Versus XIII as Square confirms the next show for the game they will show it running on a PS3, they also confirm the game will be much better than the trailer they released before

Would've been nice to get XII with it. Hell, I'd have taken an upscaled port with XII included over a fancy dressed up "remake" of just X.

If this is a full-out remake, I'm down for that. FFX is underrated IMHO.

P.S: I doubt it will be a full remake takes far longer then a year for a full remake.

I'm looking foward to it. FFX is a favorite of mine. Hopefully no international edition nonsense.

its like on Anime DVD...its good they have japanese dubs than english dubs(some characters are loosing its originality[like what happened on Chie[P4] pretty tomboyish but on Anime and its JP version is more girly with tendency with being tomboy

i doubt anything about that game can get any better, any way. that scene is the highlight of the game, if only because it's the moment it sinks so low it starts being hilarious. oh and i guess having the last boss use a spell called Megadeth is worth mentioning.BrunoBRS

I'd rather Square not touch the combat. They'd only screw it up.

If this was XII, I would have bothered... X was too easy, the shortest one of the series I spent time on, and frankly it wasn't my favorite. On the list of FF games, it ranks the lowest. yoshi_64

I think XII was worse than X but they both rank at the bottom of my FF list anyway. If I had to rank the Final Fantasies I actually have played they would go

1. VI

2. IX

3. VII

4. VIII

5. V

6. X

7. XII

Kind of a random thread but I'll bump for interest. From what I understand the character models and levels themselves will be redrawn using the White Engine but I think everything else is going to be just upscaled. To be honest I am quite curious to see what kind of crazy trophies Square comes up for it lol.

I sure hope we don't have to wait till 2016 though to get FF12 HD remake... but Square loves to milk these remakes and ports. =(

just rework on graphics of battle system and sphere grid for more shiny results not destroying the game mechanics

Also, remove the marker in the Sphere Grid, making it more like XIII's grid. Easier to navigate.

why yes, i watched his let's play. but i hated that game way before that. and the first time i saw the meg ryan joke was on videogamelookalikes.com. IT'S UNCANNY :oBrunoBRS

I heard a rumor Tidus was actually based off Meg Ryan, and was meant to be a girl in the first place. The romance with Yuna was supposed to be a daring new frontier for Square.

They backed out at the last minute.
